I asked AI to help me make my first painting.

Throughout CIID's AI Foundations class with Hector, I worked on briefs which involved working with AI to develop something. Simultaneously, I was (still am) trying to thinking about essence of objects, of ideas - reducing things to their core.

When approaching projects involving AI, my opinion is that you almost always lose your own essence in these projects. It becomes much more generic and ordinary.

So, for this assignment, I tried to flip the equation. Instead of telling AI to do things and losing essence, I explored how I could use myself as a lens to make sure my essence in projects still comes through.

Turns out, AI is horrible at painting.
